DIESEL TECHNICIAN

An external opportunity exists for a Diesel Technician position at our Isuzu Witbank Dealership.

Job summary: To produce the required labour hours through maintenance and repair work, in accordance with the company quality and efficiency standards.

Job responsibilities: (This is not an exhaustive list)

• To provide a fault finding and systems diagnostic service on light motor vehicles to aid and speed the work of mechanics.
• To complete forms and documentation included in the company’s service routine.
• To draft and prepare any reports required.
• Maintain effective liaison with Service Foreman
• To ensure that all instructions to mechanics are clear and understood.
• To ensure that any communication with customers is clear and fully answers queries raised.
• Ensure excellence in customer service delivery through meticulously following procedures/processes.

Key Competencies:
• Must have experience on Trucks.
• Ability to read all relevant measuring equipment.
• Knowledge/skills to effect correct repair work.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and specifications and put into practice.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license. Qualifications:
• Matric/N3 or higher
• Relevant Trade Test Certificate – Qualified Diesel Mechanic Package:
• Salary: neg. based on experience
